Looking for a starting point within your design career and an opportunity to showcase your creativity, colour sense and design skills?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Assistant Print Designer to join our Accessorize Design team.  This role will see you supporting in all areas of Print design for the team, but having complete ownership of our Stationery & Seasonal ranges.  This is a versatile opportunity covering a range of design including print and product design.  If you have product design, print design or surface pattern design background and have undertaken a design placement or work experience within fashion or at a print studio, we would be interested in hearing from you.

What will you do as an Assistant Print Designer?
• Responsible for the development of original artworks/Cad’s/specs and layouts for the Stationary & Seasonal ranges
• Providing design support with research using relevant media resources to identify key trends and presenting your findings back to the team on a regular basis
• Assisting in the production of design packs and colour palettes prior to trips
• Assisting in sourcing ideas from the textile trade and suppliers, seeking new ideas for product and print inspiration
• Developing an awareness of best sellers and new reactions incorporating this into the design briefs
• Supporting the overall print team with day to day responsibilities

What you will need to succeed as an Assistant Print Designer?
• You will have studied design, print design or illustration
• You will have excellent drawing skills, a knowledge of print design techniques with a good eye for print, colour and product
• You will have had some previous design work experience within fashion/print
• Basic working knowledge of specs and Cad design
• Excellent Photoshop and Illustrator skills
• Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft office
• An up to date knowledge of fashion trends as well as having excellent organisation and communication skills
• Enjoy working under pressure within a fast-paced environment
