We are looking for a part-time, freelance QA / Re-toucher to support our busy Photography Studio on an ad-hoc, on-going basis to cover holidays and peak periods.

The primary focus of this role is to support the wider studio team, performing the final quality checks on all imagery prior to delivery, supporting the commercial and creative vision of the Monsoon Accessorize brands and ultimately works to enhance conversion. You’ll work as part of a small in-house Studio, working closely with Marketing, Content and E-Commerce teams.

What will you do as a QA & Re-toucher?

  • Ensure all products meet stringent quality levels, ensuring they are correctly exposed and colour consistent
  • Ensure all screens in studio are calibrated frequently
  • Perform quality assurance on all images
  • Meet strict daily and weekly deadlines
  • Own relationship with third party retouch
  • Upload /download images to and from third party supplier
  • Ensure technical specifications are met, including colour profiles, file formats and briefs.
  • Work alongside the Production Coordinator and Studio manager to plan agreed delivery schedule
  • Forward thinking in suggesting improvements to studio processes
  • Escalate any issues accordingly
  • Retouch imagery to a high level where required, and for ad hoc jobs
  • Capable of resolving issues when relevant and communicate workflow status and quality concerns to the Studio Manager
  • Work with other members of the Studio production team to ensure the photo studio is organised and processes are correctly followed

What you will need to succeed as a QA & Retoucher?

  • Experience of creative Re-touching in a similar E-commerce Studio environment.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently on a high volume of images with challenging deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills in Photoshop, Mac OSX and good photography knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One and networked systems equipment.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge in photography, post production, digital media tools and technologies.  
  • An excellent eye for colour, grading and detail.
  • Flexibility with regards to working hours – freelance work will be ad-hoc so we are not able to guarantee fixed or regular hours
