We are looking for an experienced Lead Digital Designer to join our Creative Marketing team.  Reporting to the Head of Creative, you will be responsible for the visual appearance of the Monsoon and Monsoon Children websites.   You will work collaboratively with the wider Customer and Creative teams to ensure that our customer experience represents the brands and delivers long-term loyalty.  You will develop the unique digital expression of Monsoon in line with its ambition to be an engaging, and internationally recognised, accessories brand.

What will you do as a Lead Digital Designer?

  • Work cross-functionally within the business to ensure consistent design across all channels to market.
  • To be responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of the Monsoon websites, maintaining brand continuity at all times.
  • Working closely with developers for desktop, mobile and tablet, forming excellent working relationships.
  • Generating designs across all international websites.
  • Editorial features - working closely with online communications team to create unique and engaging designs to a set brief.
  • Design of and project manage new season site refresh.
  • Participate in creative meetings, sharing ideas and concepts with the team.
  • To design marketing emails and online communications to our customer base. Work with Acquisition and CRM teams to design collateral for affiliate parties and the Reward Card loyalty programme.
  • Concept and art direct additional still-life assets for digital stories.
  • Keep up to date with the latest digital technologies and software changes, staying ahead of trends and new ideas.
  • Being flexible to support digital marketing and promotional activity.
  • Design of social media graphics and campaigns.
  • To provide on-going site maintenance with creative ideas and concepts to drive traffic and improve customer journey/experience.
  • You will champion design innovation within the digital arena ensuring Monsoon Accessorize remain at the forefront of fashion e-tail.
  • Managing and developing a Junior Digital Designer.
  • To contribute to ad hoc projects as and when required.

What you will need to succeed in this role?

  • Previous E-commerce Design experience - Fashion is highly desirable.
  • Creative, self-motivated designer with a varied portfolio.
  • An interest in fashion and arts with strong commercial awareness.
  • Experience of managing and developing Junior Designers (desirable).
  • User focused with a strong understanding of typography, colour and layout.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Pro-active, well organised, team player.
  • Knowledge and interest in art direction.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
  • Good knowledge of HTML process and website best practice.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
