We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Area Manager to oversee a total of 15 Branches around Oslo area, including Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger and Oslo, reporting into the Country Manager. 

This role is responsible for achieving or exceeding annual sales and profit contribution targets through the development and delivery of excellent customer service, VM and operational standards. You will also coach and develop the store teams to drive Retail KPI’s for your area.

What will you do as an Area Manager?

Sales and customer service

  • To drive maximum profit through the Area P&L’s, identifying risks and opportunities, setting improvement plans to achieve KPI’s
  • To create a culture of customer service excellence within the Area
  • To encourage managers to seek and continuously develop knowledge of competitor activity and local market conditions

Store operations/VM

  • To coach Store Managers on visual standards ensuring that each branch maximises its commercial potential through the use of Company visual guidelines and the analysis of sales reports.
  • To manage branch openings, closures and refits. 
  • To identify ways of creating improvements and deliver initiatives that drive Company improvements.
  • Follow up store activities in line with promo calendar

Budget and cost control

  • To consistently control and proactively manage payroll and costs in line with sales performance.

Security and Health & Safety

  • To ensure compliance in all areas of operational activity and protect the Company from legal exposure and financial risk e.g. loss, audit, H&S.

People & Stakeholder Management

  • To recruit, develop and retain the best individuals and ensure continued development of the team, in order to create a robust succession plan for the area and wider business
  • To effectively communicate across the area to ensure shared knowledge and understanding of business goals.
  • To communicate effectively with all Head Office support areas and external providers as required.

What you will need to succeed in this role?

  • Previous High Street Retail experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales Management, leading a team
  • High School graduate
  • Good computer skills - MS Office
  • Evidence of successfully developing and motivating a team to deliver the Company targets/ KPI’s.
  • Demonstrates a focus on people development and growth.
  • Demonstrates passion, drive and resilience and a can do attitude.
  • Demonstrates decision making ability and a sense of responsibility.
  • Has a proven record of delivering exceptional customer service both personally and through a team.
  • Communicate openly and effectively in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience of managing teams remotely
