We are now looking for a Designer to work alongside the design team to ensure we are creating an innovative and holistic product offer for our customer, and to build collaborative cross-functional relationships across all departments that touch the design process. Working alongside the Design Director, you will help to design and develop multi accessories from slipper to soft accessories.
What will you do an Accessories Designer?
- Working with the design director on the accessories ranges; continue to innovate and develop premium forward-thinking product that consistently performs well and looks amazing.
- Working alongside the Design team to driving the brand in a conceptual, boundary-breaking way to ensure we continue to maintain our position in the marketplace design lead brand.
- Researching, designing, and building balanced, exciting, and new collections encompassing seasonal trends, theme, colour, print and brands handwriting to answer the business strategies and targets, from initial ideas through to sealer sample.
- Together with the rest of the design team create seasonal mood boards, colour palettes, key element boards in line with seasonal theme and present them to the product team counterparts
- Carry out seasonal trend and technical research to ensure ranges are continually evolving and always world class.
- Work together with buying team to develop and source fabrics and trims relevant for the end use of the selected ranges, adding newness and improving the existing product offer.
- Liaise with Print team to translate the seasonal graphic vision into all over and/or placement prints as required.
- Responsible for the creation and delivery of all tech packs for your products. Ensuing the tech packs are updates and correct from 1st proto all the way through to sign off.
- Work with the buying team during the process to design the ranges within option framework and margin targets.
- Visit factories in the far east and Europe through the design process.
- Presentations of ranges throughout the design process and to the wider company as needed.
- Build relationships within the team and across the business to ensure all aspects and benefits behind the product are communicated to all customers
- Reporting into the Design director, you will be ensuring that all design deadlines and key development dates in the critical path are met.
- Participate in all relevant design meetings
- To be aware of and contribute to the delivery of business targets.
- Take on ad hoc projects or other responsibilities as appropriate
What you will need to succeed as an Accessories Designer?
- Min 5 years’ experience working across multi product accessories
- Must have experience with soft accessories and knowledge of knitwear
- Experience in using adobe suite
- A strong team player who is great with collaboration and able to work within tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
