We are ooking for a Systems Analyst to join our Technology team at our Distribution Centre.at Wellingborough. 

In this role you will be the subject matter expert for the systems in the Distribution Centre and you will provide effective operational and incident support of relevant technology platforms. Alongside the other technology team members you will support delivery of siloed and cross functional technology changes through contribution to design, testing and deployment and highlight and champion technology changes required to maintain stability of relevant technology platforms.

What will you do as a Systems Analyst?

  • Develop good working relationships with functions relevant to supported platforms and maintain strong appreciation of how system use supports the function/ business
  • Support delivery through design and testing against relevant portions of the technology portfolio plan
  • Support WMS applications such as DLX (formerly Red Prairie), Assist4 and i-reports
  • Champion change to improve stability of supported platforms
  • Champion change to drive down operational overhead on yourself and your team
  • Demonstrate understanding of the technology function’s architectural standards
  • Using awareness of the delivery plan to effectively manage own time between change delivery and operational support
  • Effectively liaise with other areas of the Technology function to be able to investigate issues spanning multiple systems
  • Work with third parties to provide effective operational management and support of relevant platforms, adhering to technology team’s support models
  • Positively represent the technology function alongside internal and external stakeholders
  • Create a culture of honesty, accountability and engagement within the function ensuring everyone is treated with respect

What will you need to succeed in this role?

  • Experience with systems operating on platforms Unix, Oracle and SQL
  • Displays an eagerness for change and continuous improvement
  • Personable and enthusiastic. Self-motivated to provide service excellence
  • Ability to work well with management and other subject matter experts to progress technology change
  • Capable of clear communication of complex matters
  • Analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail
  • Pro-active 'can-do' attitude who welcomes a challenge and seeks a solution
  • Strong knowledge and experience of relevant platforms as well as working knowledge of overall retail system landscape
  • Ability to work shift patterns which include early mornings would be preferable.
