We are now looking for a Junior Test Analyst to join our Technology team. This is a new role and will work alongside our Test Analyst to ensure a high level of quality assurance and testing coverage is achieved across all IT/digital projects of competence.

What will you do as our Junior Test Analyst?

  • Assist in extracting the functional and business requirements that need to be tested from the design documents
  • Responsible for identifying test cases and test scripts and mapping them to the requirements
  • Identifying End-to-End test cases to validate web order, fulfilment and financial testing requirements
  • Creation of test cases and test scripts in the agreed format
  • Contribute to the planning and prioritisation of testing on a project
  • Carrying out test execution activities across all integrated applications and recording results
  • Raising and owning defects for any problems encountered, recording them in the approved format and following them through to successful conclusion
  • Participating in the defect triage process for any defects raised
  • Prioritise defects according to testing or business priority
  • Replicate issues identified by end users
  • Report to Test Analyst and team members overall testing progress and achievements, along with escalation of any issues which cannot be resolved within the testing process.
  • Identify gaps in our current processes and suggest improvements
  • Assist in implementing a new test automation strategy
  • Support Test Analyst and the technology leadership team in recommending testing requirements

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Working knowledge of test and defect management tools (JIRA, QATest)
  • Analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail but operates strategically with an understanding of the 'big picture'
  • Pro-active, and pragmatic attitude, someone who welcomes a challenge and seeks a solution
  • Self-motivated with drive to provide a quality, auditable testing service
  • Personable, diplomatic and approachable, with an enthusiastic nature
  • Ability to communicate effectively across business and technical teams
  • Strong Knowledge and experience of Web and e-commerce platforms. CRM and ERP system experience would be advantageous.
