We’re looking for a Social Media Assistant to join the team and to support the Social Media Manager. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the channels and help develop our social media presence and tone of voice. You will need to have some social media experience, in particular Instagram and Facebook (with knowledge of TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube) with a keen eye for detail and good writing style. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and learn new skills quickly to develop the role and provide full support to the wider team.

What will you do as our Social Media Assistant?

  • Develop, create and post content for the Accessorize social channels in line with key marketing moments and product launches.
  • Own the channel content calendar, ensuring it is constantly updated across all channels with copy and assets.
  • Publish and schedule content across all platforms as well as community management and customer engagement.
  • Help with reporting on all channels including: follower growth, engagement, traffic, conversion, sentiment.
  • Work with the wider marketing team to develop and execute new content ideas.
  • Self-shoot and edit content where necessary to maintain a full, extensive social media calendar.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the business including: ecom and paid social, buyers, merchandisers, studio.
  • Research competitors and present back findings to Social Media Manager and Marketing Director where relevant.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Up to 1 year experience using social media channels and creating content. 
  • Proactive, highly motivated and deadline driven individual who has a genuine obsession for social media.
  • Creative thinker with a strong knowledge of social media.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels and a strong eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to multitask.
  • Some reporting skills would be advantageous
