We are looking to develop data led insights and ensure all our marketing activities and decisions taken are data driven. This will require a range of analysis, reporting and storytelling to inform key decisions relating to our marketing activities.

Beyond this, you will also manage GTM, implementing and changing tags as necessary.  You will work with the necessary teams to ensure correct tagging and tracking is in place for all activity, especially GA. We have GA attribution and are looking for someone with experience of managing this to help give actionable insights.

What you will do as our Digital Analyst?

  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to help define and structure the performance framework for all digital marketing activity
  • Manage and implement tags into Google Tag Manager
  • Pro-actively gather requirements through workshops, group sessions and/or use other techniques to identify business needs with stakeholders of all levels
  • Execute end-to-end analysis, from problem definition and setting relevant KPIs, identifying and validating relevant data sources, to the execution and playback of insight/recommendations
  • leverage internal and external data sources via SQL/database queries, web analytics tools, statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools
  • Identify and create key audiences to use within marketing activity and targeting, ensuring a high standard segmentation model and alignment to the marketing strategy
  • Identify areas for improvement and cost-saving through an analytical approach across owned, earned, and paid channels
  • Deliver and set up automated reporting for internal and external use
  • Work with the Digital Marketing team to set-up and run A/B tests, create measurement criteria and communicate results/recommendations

What will you need to be able to demonstrate to be successful in this role?

  • Experience working as a Digital Analyst, Marketing Analyst or Data Analyst, ideally in a retail environment
  • Expert with Google’s suite of web, analytical and marketing tools, including Google Tag Manager and GA4
  • Proficient with SQL (knowledge and experience of BigQeury/Python/R advantageous but not essential)  
  • Excellent analytical skills, with sound statistical knowledge and a high degree of business acumen
  • Experience with A/B testing is advantageous
  • Strong stakeholder management with ability to communicate clearly with Snr Management
  • Experience with BI tools such as Micro Strategy, Power BI, Tableau or Google Data Studio
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Online Retail/Ecommerce
