We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Assistant Buyer to join our Accessorize team.

What will you do as a Senior Assistant Buyer?

  • Supports the review and creation of last season’s performance and lessons learnt document
  • Keeps up to date on trends through comparative shopping and research, supporting the development of product ranges so that the competitor reflect the visual style of brand
  • Conducts range building activities and manages own small product category
  • Supporting the Buyer for whole department by dealing with any ad-hoc requests
  • Ensures all PO’s contain the right information and are raised  inline with critical path dates
  • Supports the Buyer with red seal pre shipment process, management of critical path, fit sessions and puts forward solutions
  • Reviews sales data and offers commercially viable suggestions to the Buyer
  • BBCAT checks, confirms and correct orders ensuring they are raised in a timely manner
  • BMI reports checked daily and systems discrepancies corrected daily
  • Approval of samples, lab dips and bulk materials (where relevant)
  • Plan induction for new employees
  • Train, develop and coach junior assistants and plans induction for new employees
  • Support brand for all communication channels i.e. Product Surgeries, Press Day, International workshops etc.
  • Ensure samples and information (when required) is passed over to all communication channels on time i.e. press, international and web
  • Develops a balanced & commercial product range with the support of their manager

What will you need to succeed as our Senior Assistant Buyer?

  • A keen interest in fashion and trends and a good commercial eye
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to coach/develop others
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge work processes effectively with team
  • Experience of range building activities and negotiating prices within margin targets
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and working at pace
  • Able to demonstrate a very proactive approach and deputise in absence of Buyers effectively
