We have a great opportunity for someone to come and join our Finance team as a Digital Trading Finance Analyst.

This role will support the Trading and Digital teams by providing commercial finance support, providing insights to support them agree and deliver to targets and  being a commercial representative on strategic projects.

What will you do as a Digital Trading Finance Analyst?

  • Weekly reporting of Digital Marketing performance, ensuring spend is delivering incremental returns on advertising spend (ROAS) and profitability.
  • Assisting Senior Finance Trading Manager with weekly company trading reports and analysis for all channels.
  • Manage the month end reporting process, co-ordinating the month end activities, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of the Web and Digital Marketplace P&Ls.
  • Provide appropriate Board level commentary to support reported results.
  • Deliver the Financial Planning and Forecasting process for Own Web and 3rd Place Marketplace P&Ls. Ensuring delivery of a robust Budget and Forecast accompanied by appropriate commercial challenge and risks highlighted.
  • Forward forecasting analysis to better manage a "no surprises" way of working and early sight of financial risk.
  • Develop business cases for new opportunities, Initiatives, and marketplaces.
  • Support Digital Teams to identify and appraise proposed and actioned trading initiatives.
  • Regularly review with the Digital and Brand Teams the profitability for each Digital Channel and the Digital Marketing Channels.
  • Partner with Digital Teams to provide effective support and challenge, identifying opportunities to drive performance.
  • Be commercial representative and support business on strategic projects.
  • Support wider UK Trading Finance team with cover and support where required.

What will you need to succeed as our Digital Trading Finance Analyst?

  • You will be a Qualified accountant / Finalist (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with previous experience in a Retail or Ecommerce commercial support role.
  • Commercial Finance experience, supporting, and challenging Non-Finance Managers.
  • Proactive and “can-do” team player, a self-starter with a drive to make a difference and can identify and manage their own priorities in line with business priorities.
  • Excellent communication – ability to articulate orally and in writing, complex and detailed information in an easy-to-understand manner to all levels of the business
  • Ability to deliver with a flexible approach when required.
  • Strong Excel and System skills
  • Desired
  • Experience of reporting systems (Coda, Cognos) would be advantageous
  • Experience of supporting Marketing Spend targets would be desirable
