We are looking for a Head of Digital Marketing to join our team at Monsoon. This role will focus on driving high quality traffic through online channels, ensuring the digital team and agencies are performing to a high level to meet traffic targets, while maintaining a strong ROAS and profitable ecommerce P&L.

What you will do as our Head of Digital Marketing: 

  • Responsible for the key KPI of traffic for the Monsoon website
  • Build, own and deliver the brands digital marketing strategy working across functions to ensure strategy is customer first
  • To drive both acquisition and retention of the Monsoon customer, predominantly in the UK but also overseeing key international markets
  • Develop and execute the digital marketing strategy for both acquisition and retention delivering ROAS across all digital channels including (but not limited to) PPC, paid social, affiliates and display
  • Ownership of relationships with digital agencies and affiliate partners to ensure all channels are delivering against key performance indicators
  • Build strong relationships with product and design teams to ensure aligned with the product strategy and commercial success.
  • Manage the digital marketing budget autonomously and efficiently
  • Provide the creative teams with detailed briefs around the required digital assets to ensure campaigns are successful
  • Build effective relationships with the other functions of marketing including design and content teams to implement strong marketing campaigns and partnerships
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities for organic search improvement and work with the web development teams / SEO agency to ensure new site initiatives are built in accordance with SEO best practices
  • To report against agreed KPI's on Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly basis

What you will need to succeed as our Head of Digital Marketing?

  • Minimum 7 years digital marketing experience
  • Hands-on experience in consistently driving qualified traffic to at least one website
  • Proactive 'can-do' attitude with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment and motivate a team
  • Extensive experience in ownership of budgets and working to demand targets with eComm teams
  • Experience in management of both digital marketing teams and agencies
  • Strong commercial skills with experience working to ROAS goals, optimising margin within marketing activities and working closely with finance teams
  • An entrepreneurial approach, willing to step out of the confines if your role if necessary, particularly in relation to brand marketing
  • Pace, energy and passion
  • A creative approach to problem solving
  • Great communicator at all levels and strong decision maker
  • Strong analytical capability and GA competency

If you have the following this would be a huge bonus:

  • Marketing Degree or equivalent
  • Ability to react decisively and in a timely manner to changing market conditions
  • Experience working closely with C Suite executive teams
