This is a newly created role to help support with the growth of printed marketing channels; trialling new formats, drops and testing (UK & International).
Following the success of some recent direct mail tests we are now looking for a Campaign Manager to grow out this channel and develop key drop dates throughout the year in line with the trade calendar. Alongside direct mail, we are also looking for a Campaign Manager to trial some other printed marketing channels such as Media Inserts, Parcel Inserts & Door Drops.
What you will do as our Campaign Manager - Direct Mail?
- Requesting quotes from printer, postal provider and other suppliers (where necessary) to determine most cost effective mailing options prior to booking
- Applying for Royal Mail incentives to earn credit on future mailings, decreasing postal costs and increasing contribution
- Writing creative briefs for all direct mail collateral and requesting promotional codes for each audience group
- Working with CRM manager and data analyst devise the segmentation of the campaign and write data brief for mailing selections
- Build out and maintain a critical path of all direct mail drops incorporating key dates for stakeholders and suppliers
- Devise a Direct mail strategy for key segments; Reward, Reactivation, Unengaged, Store
- Work with other channel owners to support direct mail (i.e. omni-channel testing)
- Build up good working relationships with printer & postal providers. Open up conversations with other suppliers if they could add additional value
- Evaluate performance of each direct mail campaign and pull together concise reporting
- Handling invoices & payments for direct mail channel
- Keep an eye on competitor printed marketing activity and suggest ideas for future mailings
- Build out annual test plan; what formats to test, offers, content
- Explore and test new printed marketing and international printed marketing channels such as media inserts, door drops, parcel inserts
- Work with partners to get advertising revenue. Developing a rate card for advertising space and product insertion.
What you will need to succeed as Campaign Manager - Direct Mail?
- Previous end to end direct mail experience
- Knowledge of print processes
- Channel reporting and forecasting
- Use of Google Analytics desirable
- Commercially focused
- Creative with a versatile writing style – Demonstrable briefing experience
- Positive, passionate and proactive attitude
- Excellent multi-project management and organisational skills
- Works well under pressure to tight deadlines - strong attention to detail
- Degree in Business, Marketing or relevant subject desirable
