Do you love digital marketing and PPC especially?  Are you a PPC specialist looking to have full control of a PPC channel within a large, successful brand?  Do you want to drive the strategy and growth of PPC both within in the UK and internationally?  With PPC being the largest spending marketing channel in the business, we wanted to bring this channel in-house to get the channel as close to the business as possible.  This newly created role will give the PPC manager full responsibility of the channel for Monsoon – everything from budget management, implementing and executing campaigns, reporting on performance, and championing the channel across the business.  Digital marketing is a small internal team that works closely with the wider digital and ecommerce teams as well as marketing, trading and merchandising.

The role sits within the Digital Marketing Team which is comprised of the Head of Digital Marketing and the Digital Marketing Manager.  This team is part of the wider Digital team, which includes CRM, customer services and everything to do with the website.  The digital marketing team are responsible for the PPC, SEO, paid social, display and affiliate channels.

What will you do as our PPC Manager?

  • Create and manage overall PPC strategies to maximise commercial performance. Develop and own the channel by ensuring tight budget management, strong performance vs KPIs and campaign activation
  • Grow activity that is currently live in the UK and the US.  Identify growth opportunities in ROW, launch and manage campaigns inhouse or with our agency
  • Execute test and learn plans and push for innovation across all areas of our activity, balancing the need for innovation with achieving KPIs
  • Work closely with the SEO agency to ensure the PPC and SEO channels are closely aligned
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager and the agencies for paid social and affiliates to ensure campaigns are aligned and to share learnings across the channels
  • Work with the wider marketing, digital and customer insight departments to ensure the channel is responding to internal and external opportunities
  • Work closely with the trade team to deliver accurate KPI forecasts & business targets
  • Deliver in depth reporting, analysis and insight to relevant stakeholders, giving them an understanding of what is happening within the PPC space
  • Work with key external partners such as search engines to identify, explore and test new opportunities within the Paid Search landscape

What will you need to succeed as our PPC Manager?

  • You will have PPC campaign and budget management experience, gained from a high-growth, retail business either in-house or at an agency
  • You will be comfortable and able to utilise GA and create reports, dashboards, analysis of performance and forecasts and ideally advanced level website analytics, preferably GAIQ (Google Analytics Individual Qualification)
  • You can manage deadlines across multiple projects and various stakeholders. Combined with close attention to detail, an analytical and data driven mind, you deliver trading results in a fast-paced online business
  • You can explain complex PPC activities in a simple manner. You also have excellent influencing and negotiating skills, whilst building professional relationships at all levels
  • You love digital marketing and really want to make a significant difference within the business by showcasing the best PPC can offer
