We are looking to appoint a talented Health & Safety Manager to advise the Board Directors and Monsoon Accessorize employees, both in the UK and International on all health and safety matters.

Reporting to the Head of Audit & Risk you’ll guide and influence the development and implementation of the company’s Health and Safety Policy, assisting all UK and International Subsidiary Managers in maintaining acceptable standards of health and safety in our stores, distribution centres and offices.

What you will do as a Health & Safety Manager


• To advise and assist in the implementation of MAL’s health and safety strategy and programmes.
• To keep abreast of current health & safety legislation and advise the board on relevant changes or any developments that affect MAL’s operations both in the UK and abroad.
• To carry out or arrange risk assessments, inspections and audits in all MAL workplaces to identify unsafe working conditions, practices and fire hazards, reporting to appropriate Directors on the results of such inspections and making recommendations for remedial action of any hazards identified.
• Advise on health and safety training and assist in the implementation of training programmes.
• Liaise with bodies such as the Health & Safety Executive and any other relevant outside organisations.
• Ensure the accurate recording of all reported incidents and accidents and producing statistics and analysis for the MAL Operating Board
• Manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances, e.g. asbestos
• Partner with MAL’s Risk consultants to agree the implementation of critical risk improvements recommended in their assessments. 
• To attend regular meetings of MAL’s various H&S Committees both in the UK and in International subsidiaries providing information and advice
• To support in the business risk management process
• To support with the Business Continuity Process

What will you need to succeed as a Health & Safety Manager?
 

  • Minimum NEBOSH Diploma

• Considerable experience in retail or in an environment where members of the public are a significant focus and experience of the hazards and risks created by a multisite international
• Ability to influence at Board level
