Apply to be part of our technology transformation journey as our Product Owner for Retail and International and be responsible for the analysis, prioritisation, implementation, and management of the product backlog. The role requires a significant level of involvement in project delivery, as a key stakeholder responsible for the provision of technical expertise via your own knowledge and via resources available within your own team.

What will you do as a Product Owner – Retail & International?
• Manage both the internal and external resources required to meet business demands within the business systems area.  Maintaining and prioritising the Product Backlog as required to support business change.
• Coordinate the activities and daily workload of the support team, organising planning and execution of support to end users, ensuring excellent service and response, managing remedial actions where necessary.
• Line management of technical and team lead staff members.
• Play a key part in the delivery of new technology.
• Provide key input into project definition, architecture, integration and design.
• Responsible for gaining budget sign-off against technology costs.
• Ensure cost approval processes are adhered to for Capex & Opex budgets.
• Work with support teams to create, report on and improve key metrics (ticket volume trends, first line resolution rate etc.)
• Form strong working relationship with business functions giving them a voice within technology through solicitation and prioritisation of requirements.
• Liaise with the customer when scheduling any rollouts or store changes/updates.
• Perform/request any proactive internal checks and reports to ensure issue prevention and operational stability.
• Propose plans for product/service improvement and create visibility of service gaps.
• Own activity related to the compliant operation of Retail and International systems.
• Drive and deliver continuous service improvement objectives set by the senior management team.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining contractual agreements with our support partners.
• Support the technology leadership team in recommending change prioritisation
• Support and provide input to Departmental ITIL Standards and Process improvements.

What will you need to succeed as a Product Owner – Retail & International?
• Experience working in-house within a Retail business
• Strong Line management & 3rd party management skills
• A recognised IT service management certification such as ITIL or COBIT
• Ability to communicate across all levels of the business up to Director level
• Strong knowledge and experience of core retail business applications (Multi-Channel Retail, Merchandising and Supply Chain solutions).
• Displays an eagerness for change, driving continuous improvement
• Ability to communicate effectively across business and technical teams
• Analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail but operates strategically with an understanding of the 'big picture'.
