This is an excellent opportunity for a Treasury Assistant to join our group Finance team, based at our Head Office in West London.   Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the key focus of the role is treasury which involves cash reporting and various banking queries.

This role would be ideal for a trainee accountant (ACCA) and suited to someone looking to gain exposure to a dynamic, fast paced environment. 

What will you do as a Treasury Assistant?

• Bank reconciliation process – Weekly bank reconciliations for main bank accounts. Other bank accounts are reconciled twice a month. This process involves close co-operation with Accounts Payable and Retail teams and other members of the Finance team.
•  Responsibility for posting bank transfers and other adhoc entries
•  Queries related to payment/refunds details and any adhoc issues need to be resolved in timely manner.
• Managing cash across all bank accounts and entities in line with agreed principles
• FX revaluation routine – Run a revaluation routine to ensure all foreign currency bank accounts are revalued using month end FX rate. Irish and Norway controls accounts also need to be revalued on monthly basis.
•  Preparation of daily cash reports
• Preparation and distribution of weekly cash report to senior management
• Maintenance of weekly cash flow forecast including updating actuals and providing commentary for variances to forecast.  Liaising with Head of Group Finance and Head of Commercial Finance to update cash flow forecast
• Obtaining and distributing monthly FX rates
• Managing access to online banking platforms for new users and leavers
• Reviewing amendments to supplier bank details to ensure that they have been authorised and amended correctly
• Liaising with the banking providers to ensure that bank mandates are kept up to date (quarterly reviews)
• Producing regular reports to show how the supplier finance scheme is being utilised
 

What you will need to succeed as a Treasury Assistant?

• ACCA student
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Can work independently as well as be a team player and flexible in approach to work
• Competent in MS Office software, in particular Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Banking and treasury experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Coda and/or Business Objects (desirable)
