This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) to join our Group Finance team, as a Financial Reporting Manager. The role covers the preparation of the monthly and annual consolidated accounts and managing a team of 5 part-qualified and qualified accountants.

Reporting into the Head of Group Finance, this role would be ideally suited to someone looking to gain exposure to a dynamic, fast paced environment.

What will you do as a Financial Reporting Manager?

• Manage month end reporting process and timetable, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure monthly reporting packs submitted on time and in accordance with Group requirements
• Posting monthly subsidiary TBs to CODA in multiple currencies
• Produce intercompany debt and loan reconciliations, following up on issues and queries as relevant
• Support and provide information and analysis to Tax, Head of Group Finance, CFO
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly consolidated Group Balance Sheet and Cashflow
• Monthly accounting for MHJL, including posting journals and revaluations
• Posting ad hoc bank entries and liaising with the bank to resolve queries in timely manner
• Produce balance sheet reconciliations
• Lead year-end audit including managing audit deliverables, preparation of work papers and ensuring that the audit runs smoothly
• Production of statutory accounts for all Drillgreat UK companies and Group consolidated accounts
• Calculation of onerous lease and dilapidation provisions
• Monthly closing stock posting and reconciliation
• Review of exceptional costs
• Ensuring that financial control frameworks are adhered to and continuously looking at ways that existing processes can be improved, and that best practice is followed
• Lead and develop a team of part qualified accountants
• Ensure timely invoicing for concessions, sub tenants and ad hoc debtors
• Provide credit control support to ensure debts are recovered on a timely basis
• Strengthening relationships with Commercial Finance team to ensure that accounting for new projects is agreed upfront

What will you need to succeed in this role?

• Qualified ACA/ACCA with minimum 3 years post qualification experience
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Can work independently as well as be a team player and flexible in approach to work
• Proficient in Word, Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of managing a small team
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) would be desirable
• Knowledge of Coda and/or Business Objects would be an advantage
• Stakeholder management experience
• Experience of multi-currency group consolidation
