Our Accessorize buying team currently have a new opportunity for an Assistant Buyer for a period of 6 months. Reporting to the Buyer, you will be joining a busy buying team to play an integral part in helping to ensure the smooth running of the department.  Experience of lingerie or swimwear would be an advantage and range building, price negotiation and critical path management are key.  If you have experience of managing junior members of the team, then we’d like to hear from you.

What will you do as  Assistant Buyer?

• Managing the critical path and delivery schedule
• Approving production samples
• Negotiating, liaising, and developing relationships with suppliers
• Training, developing, and coaching a small team
• Deputising for the Buyer in their absence
• Helping to plan ranges to maximise profits
• Analysing sales performance of the department
• Communicating with other departments including Merchandising, Technical Services, and Design

What you will need to succeed an Assistant Buyer?

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Buyer who is looking for their next step.  With your excellent communication skills, you will be able to build strong working relationships with others.  Self-motivated and enthusiastic, you will be always willing to actively contribute ideas and suggestions to the team.  You will plan and organise your own workload and help manage the workload of other team members.  Excellent systems skills, in particular Microsoft Word & Excel are essential.  If you are ready for your next step, enjoy working in a fast paced team, then this could be the role for you.
