The best thing about working for Monsoon Accessorize is the passion the company has for their people and product. I love the Accessorize product range, especially our embellished bags, and one of my favourite parts of my job is window dressing and visual merchandising to ensure the product looks its best.

I started as a store manager in our Whiteley’s store in West London, after an interview process that involved an interview and a “floor-walk” to see how I’d assess a store’s performance and make changes. A role came up at Colney Fields and I transferred across as Floor Manager to run the Accessorize.

The most surprising thing about working here has been the Colney Fields store’s celebrity following – we’ve served Emma Bunton, Dennis Bergkamp and most of the Eastenders cast!

My typical day: I arrive at work about 8:30 and start on my daily paperwork, the rota for staff and preparing to talk to my team about our figures. I’ll then do a thorough floor-walk through the shop floor including checking out the store’s window displays, visual merchandising layout, any other jobs to do before the store opens at 9:30.

My team and I will work on replenishing stock to make sure all product lines are up-to-date in the morning. Around one o’clock I’ll make sure all my staff are focussed on serving customers as this is our peak trading time! I cash up at 5pm and do a bit of analysis on how the day has gone before heading home.
