Print Designer Accessorize (Part-Time12 month FTC)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Interim Print Designer to join our inspirational Print Design team to help create commercial and innovative design for Accessorize. Reporting to our Senior Print Designer, you will need to be available for up to a period of 12 months to provide maternity cover support and would suit an individual looking to work 4 days per week. Accessorize is an exciting area of the business with massive growth potential. If you’re an experienced Print Designer with experience of printed women’s fashion / accessories as well as beach from a print studio or head office in-house design environment, then we would like to hear from you!
This role will see you researching, identifying and interpreting trends for Accessorize for the season. Producing design briefs and reviewing our development processes to ensure effective working relationships between suppliers and the Design team. You will also assist in planning and overseeing the critical path for your areas. You will contribute to strategy within the team and drive the brand forward by challenging and developing our ranges. You will be working with our Buying and Technical Services teams, building close working relationships with our clothing design team and managing budgets. Overseas travel may be required as well as managing a small team.
You will have a fabulous sense of colour & drawing ability, and will enjoy working to high standards & delivering profit to the business. You will be able to demonstrate your design flair and an understanding of the Accessorize ‘handwriting’. We’re looking for someone who has a strong passion to work for Accessorize with the ability to design product with a unique point of difference from our global high st competitors. With excellent presentation and communication skills, you will also be confident in presenting at a senior level. Previous experience of working with suppliers in the Far East is desirable. You will be competent with Photoshop; working knowledge of Illustrator is desirable. Strong people management skills are a must. If you are able to demonstrate a commercial understanding of both the accessories market and Accessorize customer, then this could be the role for you.
