Photographer & Content Creator

Ref: MON12728
Salary: Competitive
Department: Visual
Location: W11 4AN
Position type: Permanent

Our in-house creative studio produces all e-commerce, campaign and video content across Monsoon, Accessorize and EAST, including Monsoon Kids and Accessorize Angels, as well as supplying assets to third-party retail partners and marketplaces.

This is a hybrid shooting role for someone equally confident behind a tethered stills camera and capturing fast, social-first content on the day. You'll deliver high-volume, premium-quality product and model photography to a consistent brand standard, and turn the same shoot days into the short-form video, stills and behind-the-scenes content that feeds our social, email and digital channels.

It suits a photographer who thinks in content, not just frames — someone who can hold the technical discipline of e-commerce while spotting and capturing the moments that make a channel feel alive.

What will you do as Photographer for Monsoon Accessorize?

Photography

  • Shoot on-model, still life and cut-out product photography across all brands and categories to agreed brand standards, lighting set-ups and technical specifications.
  • Deliver consistently to daily shot targets without compromising quality, working within the studio's critical path from sample-in to asset-live.
  • Set up, maintain and adapt lighting rigs, sets and camera systems; ensure colour accuracy, exposure consistency and correct capture settings across every shoot day.
  • Manage tethered capture, file naming, ingest and hand-off to retouch, keeping the asset pipeline clean and traceable.
  • Support campaign and seasonal shoots alongside the Senior Photographer/Videographer, both in studio and on location.
  • Ensure output meets the differing technical specs required by our own sites, marketplaces and third-party retail partners.
  • Content creation
  • Capture social-first content on shoot days — short-form video, motion, detail, styling and behind-the-scenes — to briefs agreed with the Creative and Social teams.
  • Self-shoot and self-edit reactive, trend-led content for Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest, working at the pace those channels demand.
  • Edit and grade video content to brand guidelines, delivering in the correct formats, ratios and specs for each channel and placement.
  • Contribute ideas to content planning — proposing formats, treatments and set-ups that make product work harder across organic and paid.
  • Help maintain consistency between campaign imagery, e-comm and social so that all channels feel like one brand.

Studio and workflow

  • Work to the studio shoot schedule, flagging risks to timings, samples or delivery early.
  • Take care of studio kit — cameras, lighting, grip, capture stations — reporting faults and keeping equipment shoot-ready.
  • Support sample management on set, working with stylists to keep product tracked, protected and returned.
  • Contribute to process improvement, including the adoption of AI imaging and production tools where they improve speed or consistency.
  • Support and guide junior team members and freelancers on set.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with stylists, hair and make-up, models and retouchers to keep shoot days efficient and on-brief.
  • Take direction from the Creative Leads and interpret briefs, mood boards and art direction accurately.
  • Build strong working relationships with Digital, Merchandising, Social and Marketing to understand what each channel needs.

What will you need to succeed as Photographer for Monsoon Accessorize?

Essential

  • Proven experience as a photographer in a fashion, retail or high-volume commercial studio environment.
  • Strong stills portfolio covering on-model and product photography, with evidence of consistency at volume.
  • Confident with studio lighting — able to build, adapt and troubleshoot set-ups independently.
  • Video capture and editing capability, including short-form social content shot on both camera and phone.
  • Fluent in Capture One, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro (or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of colour management, file formats and delivery specifications.
  • Understanding of social platforms and the content formats that perform on them.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to work at pace against a shoot schedule and hit daily targets.

Desirable

  • Experience shooting kidswear or working with child models.
  • Experience producing assets for marketplaces or third-party retail partners.
  • Basic retouching skills.
  • Motion, stop-frame or animation experience.
  • Interest in AI imaging tools and their application in a studio workflow.

What good looks like

  • Premium, brand-right images delivered on time, every time — with no drop in quality on day three of a shoot block.
  • An eye that spots the extra shot: the detail, the movement, the moment that becomes the best-performing piece of social content that week.
  • Calm, unflappable presence on set, whoever is in front of the camera.
  • Ownership of your own output — you check your own work, and you flag problems before they become delays.

What will we offer you in return?

  • Competitive salary
  • 23 days holiday with the option to purchase additional holiday through our salary sacrifice scheme
  • Bonus day off each year after 6 months service
  • A pension that you will automatically be enrolled in after 3 months
  • Life assurance (subject to participating in the pension scheme)
  • A flexible working approach
  • Early pay day Friday finish
  • A generous staff discount with up to 50% discount on our products
  • Interest free season ticket loans
  • Additional discounts such as Westfield discount, Taste card membership etc
