Department: Buying

Our story began with one man and his vision; to bring vibrant, colourful, hand-crafted artisan clothes from faraway places to the markets of London. It is a journey that started on a hippy commune in Ibiza, 1970, and finished with an overland trip east, through Afghanistan and India. Now found in West London, we’re creating vibrant products, and sharing endless discovery.

We’re looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our Monsoon Childrenswear Buying team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of a balanced and commercial product range for Monsoon.

You’ll contribute across the full buying cycle, from trend research and range development through to order management and performance analysis, working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers.

  • Support price negotiations with suppliers where appropriate
  •  Manage ad‑hoc queries from internal and external stakeholders to ensure timelines are met
  • Support brand initiatives across all communication channels, including Press Day and workshops
  • Ensure samples and product information are delivered to press, international and digital teams in line with deadlines

What you will need to succeed as Assistant Buyer?

  • A keen interest in fashion and trends
  • Strong commercial awareness with a keen product eye
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • An active team player who consistently contributes and supports others
  • Excellent PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • The confidence and capability to deputise for the Buyer when required
