We are now looking for a Print Designer to cover a 12 month maternity cover within the Accessorize Design team, providing vision and design direction for multi-product categories; to support the Designer / Design Manager in developing original and innovative ranges; contribute to the department strategy and to design in line with overall brand strategy for the season ensuring Accessorize handwriting is maintained in line with business objectives.
What will you be doing as a Print Designer?
- Trend research and Sourcing – Identify seasonal trends as appropriate for the Monsoon Accessorize brand including key fashion prints, colours and prints for the season.
- Contribute to and oversee strong and new reference material including industry knowledge and research for the department to use throughout the season.
- Ensure identified trends are completed through the sign off stage
- Ensure all designs are delivered in line with company strategy
- Create unique, in-house prints which deliver newness and commerciality
- Support Design Manager and Designer to ensure all designs are delivered in-line with company strategy
- Passionate about print design and is driven by the desire to deliver a fabulous range proposition designed in line with our customers profile whilst being commercial
- Manage and lead print appointments with external print studios · Manage and brief freelance print designers
- Support brand designers and buying teams whilst producing print designs to support their design briefs Critical Path Management
- Ownership of critical path and team deadlines
- Plan critical path with Senior team ensuring efficient communication with suppliers and relevant team members
People and Management
- Manage and inspire Junior Design Team
- Lead Print team meetings
- Plan induction for new employees
- Highlight Print design team training needs
- Health and Safety - Ensure a safe working environment by complying with Health and Safety Guidelines and take action to deal with any issues
What will you need to succeed as a Print Designer?
- Experienced designer with creative and technical ability to design multi-
- product collection
- Experienced team manager who can inspire team to deliver beyond
- expectations.
- Confident and articulate communicator with an ability to build strong
- relationships
- Ability to deliver to tight timescales and work under pressure
- Passionate and enthusiastic about print
- CAD Skills/ Drawing & Painting Skills
